Smt. Naseem Bano has born in the traditional family and learned this craft from her father namely Late Hasan Mirza who is a National Awardee in 1969. She is having the experience of 45 years in the craft.
Awards & Achievments
The National Award in the year 1988 for chikan embroidery craft.
The Shilp Guru award for her valuable contribution and excellence in chikan hand embroidery.
She also participated in various exhibitions in India and abroad.
She imparted the training to more than 300 youngsters through the training sponsored by the Office of Development Commissioner (Handicraft).
More About Naseema Bano
Her special focus is to strengthen the impoverished community of Flexible Brass Fish-makers of Belangota.
With the intent of using technology to address the challenges, she took an initiative to use this digital platform to sell their crafts which have the potential to get worldwide recognition. Acting as a bridge between the potential customer and the indigenous artisan so as to help them to generate revenue without having to look for physical markets to sell their products.
Internalizing the spirit of the Government of India – Vocal for Local, the brand is working for the artisans at the grass-root level for creating an Atamanirbhar Bharat.
